House Industries is a design studio that makes fonts, creates products, takes commissions and welcomes collaborations.
Founded in 1993 by Andy Cruz and Rich Roat, House Industries was born with one foot in the analog world and one in the digital. Our approach is rooted in drawing, painting, and lettering, traditional techniques that give our work a warmth and soul which comes through in everything we make, from simple children’s blocks to digital fonts that help the world communicate. We’ve had the privilege of working and collaborating with Jimmy Kimmel, Shake Shack, Hermès, The New Yorker, John Mayer, Muji, the Estate of Charles and Ray Eames, Lego, Disney and Heath Ceramics. Our work is in the permanent collections of The Smithsonian’s Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum and The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.
